COMING SOON FROM LSD! UPDATED DOCS DISKS, THESE WILL NOT BE SPREAD ON THE
BOARDS, BUT MAY BE ON OUR WHQ FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT THEM! THEY SHOULD BE
AVAILABLE FROM LSD SWAPPERS! THE UPDATES WILL PLEASE AMERICAN AMIGA USERS
AND AMIGA PLUS/A600 USERS!
Well, what is this "version 2" stuff you ask? Let me explain!
Some of our older doc disks where not 100% KS2 and NTSC compatable, so now we
have updated them, all problems are fixed. A full list of the fixed disks will
be on a future doc disk, probably LSD 35 or 36.
The new features include;
- Kickstart 2 compatable bootblock.
- Kickstart 2 compatable virus killer.
- Latest style menu.
- Any BBS lists and PD docs etc removed.
- Fully NTSC compatable.
- Any pictures that wouldn`t display fully on a ntsc machine now will.
- All pictures now have a title on the screen.
- Any docs that didn`t have a title now have one.
- All files on the disk have a real name, not just a number.
- Any duplicate docs removed.
- Any control codes effecting text display are removed.
- All files can be printed out.
- And much more!
A LSD version 2 doc disk will contains a file similar to this!
All work took many hours, as I had to update almost every picture, some I
just changed the resolution, others I had to move the picture to the top of
the screen. Re-naming all files took ages also, especially when there was
100+ on a disk, but it makes life easier if you want to copy the file to
another disk to use.
I admit this is not of interest to many people out there, but to docs
collectors, this is what they have asked for!
Thanx go to; Pazza - for the worlds best docs series, Orcrist - for the menu,
All LSD members - for being cool, All doc typers - for the docs, Deadbeat for
the help with the new docs disks, and all dudes on the scene helping keep the
docs coming out!
Cygnus/August 1992!
end.
